Jimmy Robertson is a London based mixer, producer and recording engineer working out of his own Studio SNAFU in Walthamstow, NE London.
Over the last 15 years he’s worked with a wide range of artists including Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, Ethan P Flynn, Anna Calvi, Yorkston Thorne Khan, Fuck Buttons, Michael Chapman, Tricky, Plan B, Late Of The Pier.
Recent/ forthcoming albums in 2024 include: The Last Dinner Party, Oisin Leech, Fat Dog.
His work has been Mercury Music nominated nine times – last in 2018 with Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Tranquility Base and Casino’ and Everything Everything’s ‘A Fever Dream’. In 2019 he won the MPG award for engineering the year’s best album, Everything Everything’s ‘A Fever Dream’. This year The Last Dinner Party won the Brit award for ‘Rising Star’ and the BBC Sound of 2024.
He’s also mixed soundtracks: Anna Calvi’s score for ‘Peaky Blinders’ Series 5, plus S6, EP01 and Michael Winterbottom’s ‘The Road To Guantanamo’.
SNAFU studio equipment includes: 16 channel Studer 962 mixing console, EMT Gold Foil 240, Fisher Expander Spring Reverbs, Revox B77 2 Track Tape, Eventide H3000, guitar pedals, EQ, compression, UAD Plugs etc.
